Boomerang Trailer Out Now; Jeet, Rukmini Mesmerizes In Sci-Fi Film

Amid cheerful shouts of Jeet Da, Jeet Da by the fans of actor Jeet, the cast and crew of Boomerang unveiled the trailer of the upcoming Bengali film.

Director Sauvik Kundu, Jeet, Rukmini Maitra, Saurav Das, Kharaj Mukherjee, Ambarish Bhattacharya, music director Nilayan Chatterjee, singer Kartick Das Baul and others, graced the trailer launch event.

The story of Boomerang revolves around a scientist who develops a humanoid robot. However, several comic situations cause a boomerang effect. What happens next?

At the event, Jeet said “This film is not a remake of any Hindi or South film. Boomerang is also not a copy of any Hollywood film either. The story has been inspired by a Bengali play which struck us when we saw the play. The play is Punoray Ruby Ray. The film will surely appeal to audiences of all age groups”.

Rukmini Maitra mentioned that it was an amazing experience to work with Jeet. “I had earlier worked in Switzerland that was produced by his production house. I had seen him as a producer then. But this time, working opposite him was a grand experience. He is humble despite having such great popularity. He has become my friend and I hope that this friendship continues for a long time” said the actress.

The director praised Jeet for producing this film. “Had I told other producers I wanted to make a sci-fi Bengali film with bikes and robots, they would not have invested. But Jeet understood the story and agreed to invest in this film. We have done our best to make an entertaining film. Hopefully, the audience will love it as well. Keeping our fingers crossed” said the director.

Rukmini will be seen as a humanoid robot in the film. “This is by far her best performance. She has worked hard to portray this role. The audience will be amazed at her transformation” added Jeet.

Kharaj Mukherjee’s many iconic dialogues are popular among the audience. In this film, the actor also has a dialogue “Pui Pui” which he hoped will again be popular among the audience.
