As part of its ongoing effort to offer a unique culinary experience in the sky, Akasa Air has unveiled an improved inflight food and beverage menu across its network. The airline’s in-flight dining service, Café Akasa, has developed its distinctive and varied menu selection with a wide range of meal alternatives, including healthy meals, holiday favorites, gourmet meals, and fusion meals while keeping some original favorites. The new menu features over 60 meal options that have been specifically chosen in collaboration with renowned chefs from all around India. The airline’s reaction to a thorough study of consumer eating trends and preferences is the menu revamp, keeping with its commitment to delighting customers with new and inventive products.

Some of the most interesting additions include Avocado & Tomato Croissant, Chicken Tikka Mint Mayo & Capsicum in Chutney pinwheel, Mushroom & Feta Quiche, Chicken Kakori Kebab Turnover, Oats & Berry Muffins, and Orzo Duck Salad. Favorites being retained in the menu include Kathi Roll, Mediterranean Bagelwich, and Mushroom & Brie Croissant among others.

  • The new menu mixes traditional, foreign, and gourmet meal options in a way that is both timeless and modern.
  • Since its inception, the airline has introduced specially curated festive meals inspired by regional specialties associated with celebrations during popular festivals and special occasions like Ganesh Chaturthi, Dusshera, Diwali, Christmas, Makar Sankranti, Holi, Eid al-Fitr, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Yoga Day.

All perishable meal packaging is constructed from paper that is ethically obtained from sustainably farmed crops as part of a commitment to the sustainability agenda. Neither bleach nor any other optical brightening agents (OBA) chemicals are used in the production of meal boxes. Onboard cutlery is made of wood and is biodegradable. Additionally, because all perishable meals are accounted for when travelers pre-book their meals with Café Akasa before flying, food waste is completely eliminated.

This new menu has been launched in June 2023 and is available in flight on Café Akasa.
