Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar‘s eagerly awaited winter carnival, Candy Cane Lane 2.0, came to life with unending excitement and joy. The all-day event united students, instructors, parents, and alumni on a common platform, fostering lifelong memories and supporting a worthy cause.

Numerous attractions, such as exhilarating games, captivating exhibition stalls, a vibrant DJ zone, captivating fashion presentations, and tarot card readings, kept the spectators interested throughout the day. In addition to enjoying a variety of delicious treats and confections, guests participated in pottery-making. The parents’ and students’ live performances were one of the day’s highlights and won over everyone’s hearts.

The carnival served as an event for a cause rather than merely a celebration event. The event’s proceeds were used to help regional non-governmental organizations, carrying on the charitable tradition established in past years. In light of the impact from the previous year, NGOs like Iswar Sankalpa, Calcutta Blind School, Speech and Hearing Institute and Research Centre, Pathchola, and Kids’ Centre profited from the sales and used them to buy stationery and other necessary utility items for their recipients.

NGOs including Sohomormi, Sanchar, ShishurSevay, and Anando Mandir also actively participated in the event, with their booths showcasing distinctive goods and anecdotes. The principal thanked these groups for their participation and emphasized the value of encouraging a philanthropic attitude among the kids.

Throughout the day, students eagerly displayed their talents through skillfully designed stalls, elaborate decorations, and creative promotional reels, filling the school grounds with excitement. The occasion demonstrated the strength of camaraderie and innovative teamwork.
