Caring & Sharing As A Theme Of The 3rd Happiness Fair

To commemorate the International Day of Happiness 2025, Techno India Group’s mental wellness platform, Monoshij, which was created by Prof. Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, Co-Chairperson of the Techno India Group, recently held the third edition of The Happiness Fair at Techno India University Campus. Prominent Indian classical vocalist Ms. Sayani Palit and Professor Manoshi Roy Chowdhury graced the fair’s inauguration ceremony.

The International Day of Happiness is observed annually to highlight the value of equality and empathy, which can help create a better world and a safer environment for all. The purpose of the day is to honor the spirit of laughter and joy, which can promote harmony and peace among all people. “Caring & Sharing” is the theme for the 2025 International Day of Happiness. This motto highlights the significant influence that even a small act of kindness can have on one’s life and the numerous positive changes that can occur in the future.
Students from Techno Main Salt Lake, Techno India University, and Techno India Group Public Schools Garia and Ariadaha, as well as TIGA South Kolkata, gave an impressive array of dance, musical, and instrumental performances at the 4th Edition of The Happiness Fair by Monoshij. The lively ‘Go As You Like’ costume walk that was assessed by Ms. Debdutta Bera Adhya, Principal of TIGPS Ariadaha, and Dipankar Bhattacharya, Principal of TMSL, came next. Renowned Indian classical and semi-classical vocalist Ms. Sayani Palit gave a moving performance of “Ekla Cholo Re”.

In addition to interesting hands-on activities, psychology department students from TIU showcased interactive exhibits emphasising the value of community support in stress management. While students from the Hospitality Department showcased their culinary skills with a range of treats from chaat to sweets, the art activity corner allowed guests to engage in impromptu expressive activities. Handmade jewellery from Shreya’s Creations and anime and K-pop items from Merch Maniac added to the fair’s allure by offering unique mementos.
A humanitarian project called The Happiness Fair by Monoshij was first launched in 2022. The fair seemed to be very successful and effective for the past three years. The goal of the annual daylong celebration is to spread the universal message that it is important to be happy and make other people happy.
