The trailer launch of the Bengali film Iskabon took place in the presence of director Mandip Saha, actors Saurav Das, Anamika Chakraborty, Saanju, Arindam Ganguly, and others.

The high-octane trailer gives us a glimpse of the activities of the Maoist activities happening in Jangalmahal. It also shows the love story between Golapi and Lt Cornel Shib Mukherjee.

The film is the directorial debut of Mandip Saha. The story of the film has been written by Radhamadhab Mondal.

Saanju who is debuting with this film will be seen playing the character of Lt Cornel Shib Mukherjee.

The cast of the film consists of Saurav Das, Anamika Chakraborty, Arindam Ganguly, Dulal Lahiri, Kharaj Mukherjee, Sumit Ganguly, Pushpita Mukhopadhyay and Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, and others in pivotal roles.

Speaking at the trailer launch event, Saurav Das said “It is heartening to see audiences coming to the halls for watching films. The box-office results of the recently released Bengali films give us hope. We have shot the film in actual locations and that has been very hard for all of us. We had to shoot in extreme weather conditions. We all just had coconut water on one day as we could not bring the food to the place where we were shooting. I will request the audience to come to the hall and watch the film”.

Anamika Chakraborty was thrilled to see her on the big screen for the first time. The actress was elated to be a part of such a good team from where she could learn so much about acting.

Anindya Mukhopadhyay has composed the music for Iskabon. Rupankar Bagchi, Nahciketa and Anweshaa Dutta Gupta have sung the songs in the film.

Produced by SMD Entertainment, the film is eyeing for release soon.
