Central Bank of India,  India’s one of the leading Public Sector Banks, and its Bancassurance Channel Partners TATA AIA Life Insurance Co. Ltd. have come together to support India’s COVID-19 warriors. As part of this commitment, different protective gear like face masks, face shields, and sanitizers have been distributed to different COVID-19 frontline warriors like Medical professionals, Police Personal and Health workers at different places like Chitranjan National Cancer Institute and Police Departments for their safety in their battle against COVID-19.

Speaking on the event, Shri D.N. Rajendra Kumar, Field General Manager, Central Bank of India, Kolkata Zone  said,” this small act is for a noble cause and in recognition of the great service that is being rendered by the frontline warriors against COVID-19.  He further added that all citizens of the Nation should unite and contribute to their best in this battle. Further, it was stated that with the help of our Channel Partner TATA AIA Life Insurance Ltd., a program “ Mera Desh MeraYogdan”  has initiated and it is an extension of our customers’ protection stance, specifically in support of our Great Corona Warriors. As bankers, we are also a part of the essential services for this opportunity that aligns with our commitment to serving society.”

Addressing the function Shri D.P. Jaina, Admn Medical Officer of CNCI, explained how the model of the Covid-19 Protocol helped to control the pandemic.  He also thanked for this noble gesture. Shri Imdad Hussain, Social Welfare Officer of CNCI, Mrs. Mallika Mukherjee, Matron were also present on the occasion.
