Making a short film is not so easy. The director has to tell an engaging story within a short time and get the attention of the audience. Many directors are successful in making interesting short films. Director Arup Sengupta’s short film “Char Ekke Panch” is one such short film that has been well received.

The film won the award for Best Short Film this year in the “International Golden Mirror Film Festival”. It also was honored at the “Chalchitra Rolling Awards”,  and “South Indian Film Festival Awards”.

Asim Roychowdhury, Devmalya Gupta, Ishika Roy, Razzak Hossain, Priyanka Sarkar have acted in this short film.

The story of this film was written by Bodhisatta Majumdar.

Ratan Mandal was the cinematographer and Orin was the music director of this short film. The film is produced by Nikhil Agarwal.

Director Arup Sengupta said that the honors that the film received at the different film festivals will motivate him to make good films in future. Life is like climbing a ladder and there are many steps that have to be taken. With a little bit of inspiration, encouragement and hard work, he believes that he will reach his goal.
