The character’s first look of the film Mon Potongo (মন পতঙ্গ – Mindflies) is out now. The film is directed by ‘Kalkokkho’ (House of Time) famed director duo Rajdeep Paul & Sarmistha Maiti.

National award-winning actor Seema Biswas, Joy Sengupta, debutants Subhankar Mohanta & Baishakhi Roy, Amit Saha, Tannistha Biswas, Janardan Ghosh, Tribikram Ghosh, Anindita Ghosh, Anindo Roy, and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

A significant portion of the cast will also include numerous real-life street kids and pavement dwellers.

Mindflies deal with life and its vibrant features, emphasizing life above all else. Mon Potongo (Mindflies) is a tribute to the irrational, unfettered, and persistent flight of desire. It is a story of soaring passion that, according to the confines of your social identity, you are not even permitted to conceive of, yet which you nonetheless dare to pursue. The movie is a celebration of the maniacal, destructive, yet freeing passion. It is about taking to the air, passing away, and resurrecting like a Phoenix.

The film is about an inter-faith couple who is in love with each other. They run away from their village as they fear persecution. Hence they take shelter on the city streets. They get accustomed to the harsh realities of life on the streets. The ambitious duo does not want to be crushed on the roads of the city.

While speaking about the film producer Anjan Bose said that they have already finished the post-production of the film and are all set for its festival journey.

The film is eyeing for release at the end of 2023.
