The character-look Unveiling of director Saptaswa Basu’s upcoming Bengali film Doctor Bakshi took place in the presence of the director and the cast of the film.

Based on real-life events, the film is produced by Saptarshi Sen, Shubhadeep Bhaumik (SMV Studios). The film is a medical thriller.

The film has been written by Arnab Bhaumik and the team. The music has been composed by Subhadeep Mitra.

Doctor Bakshi’s role will be played by Parambrata Chattopadhyay, the role of Mrinalini Sen (A writer) will be played by Subhashree Ganguly, Aditya Mukherjee’s (a banker turned into a criminal) character will be played by Bonny Sengupta and the role of Shraddha Dasgupta (a professional dancer) will be played by Maahi Kar. Soumyajit Majumdar, Akshay Kapoor, Rahul Roy, and others will be seen in other important roles in the film.

The story of the film is about Dr. Bakshi’s attempt against medical scams that has helped a lot of people. The path he had taken was not ethical. But the question is what is ethical when you are trying to expose a public servant in front of the general public?

The concept of “Doctor Bakshi” was seen in the director’s last film Pratidwandi (2021).

The shoot will begin in November 2021. The director plans to release the film on Eid 2022.
