“Cheeni“, an SVF release from the year 2020, is returning with “Cheeni 2”, the next installment in the franchise, under the direction of Mainak Bhaumik. The film celebrated its milestone 100 days at the box office.

The movie was revealed with the publication of a motion poster from SVF and every member of its cast and crew, and it has already begun cementing a long-term spot on the trends list. A modern working woman and her eccentric mother had a complex love-hate relationship in the first part’s offbeat drama. That was a rollercoaster of emotions, but the filmmakers guarantee that the follow-up will be even better with a talented cast! This time, “Misti” and “Cheeni” will be two separate people who have different perspectives on their lifestyles, originate from different social strata, and are bound together by a web of emotions rather than a mother-daughter duo.

The movie aims to be a complete package that offers the viewer not only some amusing humorous moments but also a number of emotional touchpoints in a range of perspectives and life paths.

The audience will be pleased by the narrative’s familial drama, its abundance of optimism, and its ability to connect with and identify with it.

Aparajita Adhya will play the role of a middle-aged woman “Misti”, who lives with her husband “Subho”, played by Anirban Chakrabarti. Madhumita will be playing “Cheeni”, and Soumyo Mukherjee will be seen playing “Sammy”.

The music is by Prasen er Dolbol and the cinematography is by Modhura Palit.

The shooting began on 16th March in Kolkata.
