The screening of the short film Gauri took place recently at Nandan. Gracing the event was director Biswarup Biswas and the cast of the film.

The story of Gauri revolves around a small girl and a lady who takes care of her. Feeding a young child is a big problem. The film shows the extent to which the lady can go to for feeding this young kid.

Director Biswarup Biswas said “I had worked earlier with kids in my earlier films like Baccha Shoshur. Hence I was confident of working with them. The main concern this time was that the child actor Radhika was two years old when we started the shoot. However, she communicated with us and made the shoot easier”.

Neel, Radhika, and Avery are the main actors in this short film.

The music has been composed by Souptik.

The DOP is Proloy, Dona, and Sunny.

The editing has been done by Pubali.

The film is 30 minutes long.

Gauri has been to many festivals like the International Kolkata Short Film Festival 2024, the 12th Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival-23, the Asian Talent International Film Festival 2024, the Global Independent Film Festival of India, and many more.
