In keeping with a long-standing custom, the Astor Kolkata held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Deck 88 to welcome visitors and start the holiday season. The Astor, which is located at 15 Shakespeare Sarani in Kolkata, once again showed its dedication to giving its visitors experiences they would remember. Participants were asked to assemble around a giant Christmas tree decked out with stars, mistletoe, and other decorations, encircled by gift-wrapped presents with glittering reindeer, during the event.

“The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is one of our most treasured traditions at The Astor. It’s a fantastic chance to unite people, promote joy, and make enduring memories with our visitors” said General Manager Amit Kobat.

Participants eagerly joined in with a sense of togetherness. As everyone joined hands in sharing a moment of joy, the atmosphere was full of warmth, laughing, and the delicious perfume of the season’s flavors.

The Astor Kolkata pleased guests with a special cuisine in addition to the lighting of the Christmas tree.

Drinks included refreshing options such as orange mocktails, Lactine Cocomoco, and mulled wine. 

The Nibbles consisted of a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options for all.

The Boozy Brownie was the dessert on offer.

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Astor Kolkata reminded everyone in attendance of the ageless customs that make the season unique while embodying a sense of solidarity and seasonal anticipation.
