This year’s World Environment Day had the theme of “Solutions to Plastic Pollution” as its focus. The 50th anniversary of World Environment Day was a timely reminder of the importance of human behavior in preventing plastic pollution. The outcome of this action is the actions that businesses and governments are doing to combat plastic pollution.

Medica Hospital organized a Cleanup & Plantation Drive to reduce plastic pollution at the DPK Kalibari Waterbody in the Nayabad neighborhood and declared its support for the international World Environment Day observance on June 5th, 2023. The hospital organized a cleanup effort and a planting campaign in the neighborhood of a water body close to the hospital’s grounds this year in an effort to have a beneficial impact on the environment.

Through these initiatives, Medica hoped to inspire people to take action for a greener, healthier earth and raise awareness about environmental protection, which would have a good effect on the neighborhood.

A couple of unique efforts that Medica has undertaken since its beginning and will continue to support in the foreseeable future are the Cleanup Drive and Plantation Drive. In an ongoing effort to promote the environment and provide access to clean air, Medica has planted 200 trees on its campus and throughout Medica Lane.
