Breaking the monotony of the Saas-Bahu sagas, Colors Bangla has come up with a mythological saga Mangal Chandi for the viewers.

A press meet was organized to announce the start of this new serial.

The story narrates the legend of goddess Chandi and her bond with her devotees. Eager to establish her cult, Devi Chandi (Madhuja) hatches a conspiracy to recruit Dhanapati (Shamik) a devotee of Lord Shiva and makes him fall in love with her devotee Khullona (Adrija Roy). However her plan takes an unexpected turn and she decides to show her wrath on the young couple to teach them a lesson.

The research has been done by Shibashish Bandopadhyay. The story is by Moumita Kargupta while the screenplay is by Sharbari Ghoshal.

Speaking at the event, Shibashish Bandopadhyay said “The story has elements of adventure and also elements of ghost too. This will be a welcome relief for the audiences watching the saas-bahu sagas. As per my knowledge, this kind of serial has not been attempted before. So this will make for great viewing experience for the people”.

The dialogue is by Tanmoy Goswami. The graphics has been done by Eskay VFX team.

“This is a different character but the story is known to all. So this is an interesting character that I got the chance to play in this serial” said Adrija Roy.

Madhuja who plays the role of Devi Chandi mentioned that she is getting the help and support from the entire team of the serial which is helping her to act in the serial in a better manner. Though the story is known to all, but presenting it in front of the audience is a laborious task.

The music has been composed by Debjit Roy.

The director of the show is Victo.

Mangal Chandi will begin from 5th August from Monday to Saturday at 6 pm only on Colors Bangla.
