The shooting of the upcoming Bengali film Sohobase directed by Anjan Kanjilal was in progress at a flat in Rajarhat.

The cast Ishaa Saha, Anubhab Kanjilal, Rahul, Debleena Dutta were present at the shoot of the film.

The story is a topical one and deals with a live in relationship of a couple. Different aspects like commitment phobia of today’s generation and other such issues will be highlighted with the help of the story of the film.

Anubhab plays Neel in the film. “I hail from Nabadwip. I live in Kolkata due to my work. The film is a light hearted film which also says some serious things too. One of the most important aspects about the film is that it is an organic film with a very nice story”.

Debolina Dutta plays Kolabati in the film. “I have observed the domestic helps working in our houses for a long time now. I have incorporated their body language and speaking style while playing this character. I am speaking in a mixed dialect by combining Bengali with a language named Thet. My character is adding spice to the film” said the actress.

Looking very cool and summery in a blue tshirt and hot pants, Ishaa Saha was ready to beat the heat and shoot the film. “I play Tista in the film. She hails from a small town and wants to be an independent woman. She faces the trouble of getting a house on rent. She meets Neel and becomes friends. Later they become intimate. Mainly the story as I have been briefed by the director deals with the commitment phobia of today’s generation” said the actress.

Rahul plays Piku da in the film. He is the friend, philosopher and guide of Tista in the film. “Whatever topic she could not discuss with her boyfriend, she shared it with Piku da. Working in the film is a good experience as the director is also from a theatre background. He is giving us small inputs which is helping us to portray the characters very well in the film” said the actor.

Bratya Basu, Tulika Basu, Subhasish Mukherjee and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

The film is likely to be released by the end of November or December 2019.
