During the Amazon Great Indian Festival 2023, Kolkata emerged as one of the top 10 high-performing regions in the Consumer Electronics and Personal Computing category, with Amazon.in reporting a double-digit increase across West Bengal and the city. Customers in Kolkata are encouraged to upgrade to the newest appliances and choose high-end products throughout the holiday season through financial initiatives. The positive demand from West Bengal’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions is fueling the category’s expansion in consumer electronics and personal computers. 

Customers in Kolkata also got a glimpse of Amazon Great Indian Festival 2023 at The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata with the ‘Amazon Xperience Arena’ (AXA). This one-of-a-kind showcase gave one a chance to experience their favorite brands and products while participating in fun engagements. Across the seven interactive zones at the event, customers competed to win exciting rewards and a chance to interact with their top brands across categories.

Nishant Sardana, Director, Consumer Electronics, Personal Computing, and Large Appliances, at Amazon India, graced the event.

West Bengal is an important area that has contributed significantly to Amazon’s expansion in India. Amazon has made significant investments in building a strong physical infrastructure throughout India over the years. More than 55,000 sellers in Bengal sell a wide range of products on Amazon.in, including clothing, sporting goods, hosiery items, foodstuffs, and much more. The state has launched several initiatives and resources to assist thousands of small vendors in embracing e-commerce.
