Tata Steel Kolkata 25K 2023 announced detailed arrangements for the race day.
Gracing the occasion were Hugh Jones, Race Director, Dr. Sanjukta Dutta, Medical Director and Head of Emergency, Fortis, Debasish Kumar, MLA and MMIC-KMC, Vivek Singh, JT MD Procam International, and other eminent dignitaries.
Race timings
Open 10K and Police cup at 5.30 am
25K elite at 6.25 am
25K amateur and Vijay Diwas Trophy at 6.26 am
Champions with disability and Senior Citizens run at 8.15 am
Ananda run at 8.45 am
Route for the race
The route for the 25K and 10K is a single-way route and will not cause traffic congestion.
The route for the World Athletics Elite Label 25K race will be past the iconic landmarks of Kolkata.
Medical arrangements at the race
There will be 30 nurses and 25 doctors on call. 8 medical stations along the race route, 8 ambulances, 8 paramedics on bikes, 15 physiotherapists, and 15 medical spotters will also be there on the race route.
The two-day Mirchi Get Active Expo will be held at Netaji Indoor Stadium on 15th and 16th December.
There will be a musical treat in the post-finish zone. Performers like Jaan Kumar Sanu, Raja Hasan, Pablo, Girish Chawla, and others will regale audiences with Bollywood and folk songs.
The Tata Steel Kolkata 25K will be telecast live on Sony ten HD 1 and Sony ten 1 SD from 6 am to 10 am.
