CPR Is The Key To Survival Of Sudden Cardiac Arrest
The most typical heart attack warning indicator is sudden, intense chest discomfort. BM Birla Heart Research Center recently treated a lot of young patients who had heart attacks. Heart attack symptoms can differ between men and women. Men occasionally report feeling queasy or lightheaded, but women are much more likely to have unusual symptoms, which can make them sometimes ignore the warnings. In addition to heart attacks, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) cases have increased in the city.
One of the most dangerous and lethal conditions in the human body, the sudden cardiac arrest often makes it seem as though there is no opportunity for recovery. When the heart stops beating, it is called cardiac arrest. There are about 350,000 cases outside of hospitals each year, and the survival rate is under 12%. CPR increases a victim’s probability of survival by two to three times. Nearly 70% of cardiac arrests occur in homes, and performing correct CPR for an hour is essential to survival. Therefore, everyone in the community needs to develop this skill set.
CPR is a first-aid technique used to revive someone experiencing an episode of SCA. Knowing this life-saving technique enables one to do CPR on someone having a sudden cardiac arrest and get them to the hospital so that the rest of their needs can be met. Therefore, BM Birla Heart Research Center is hosting a training session at the hospital as a CSR initiative in partnership with Rotary Club, Kolkata Presidency Club, District 3521, along with six or seven other clubs. They would receive training from the same professionals who teach Rotarians how to perform CPR. so that lives can be saved and these trained Rotarians can impart their expertise to their peers.
Since the epidemic rocked the world, our surroundings—including the healthcare industry—have altered. BM Birla’s method for handling challenging cases has allowed them to save countless people and keep the commitment to offering consistent, high-quality healthcare. At B.M. Birla Hospital, they make every effort to give the patients access to top-notch care.
