Credo Accelerate Football Team To Play In XSL; Jersey Out Now

The football team Credo Accelerate, which will play in the XSL-Xaverian Soccer League, had its jersey unveiled at the Calcutta Sports Journalists Club by legendary player and former Indian football team captain Shyam Thapa. It was an event full of excitement and anticipation. The league, a premier project of the Department of Sports of St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous) Kolkata in collaboration with the St. Xavier’s College (Calcutta) Alumni Association, aims to unite football fans and promote a sense of sportsmanship and friendship.

The presence of Shyam Thapa inspired and instilled pride in the new squad members, representing the high standards and goals of the Credo Accelerate team to compete in the XSL (Xaverian Soccer League).

Alvito D’Cunha, Captain of Credo Accelerate, expressed his joy about the team’s participation in the league and the introduction of the new uniform.

Pinaki Roy Chowdhury, Founder Trustee of CREDO Foundation, stressed the importance of sports in creating character and fostering teamwork.

The XSL-Xaverian Soccer League slated to take place on the 8th & 9th of June 2024 intends to create a platform for young talents to demonstrate their skills and encourage their enthusiasm for football within the community.
