With over 250 MW of live data centers spread across eight major Indian markets, CtrlS Datacenters Ltd. is Asia‘s largest Rated-4 data center operator. The company has revealed significant expansion plans for Kolkata to create a comprehensive ecosystem of state-of-the-art, AI-ready data centers and cutting-edge networks to meet the connectivity needs of businesses and hyper scalers in the area.

The announcement was made in the presence of Siddarth Reddy, Amit Singh, and Suresh Kumar Rathod.

Soon, CtrlS Datacenters plans to invest Rs 2,200 crore to create a strong ecosystem. This will be fueled by the construction of a greenfield data center campus in Kolkata’s New Town area, which will be implemented over four phases and have an IT load capacity of over 60 MW.

Additionally, the campus will have a top-notch network that will guarantee seamless connectivity.
The first data center facility, which will have a built-up area of over 90,000 square feet and a 16MW IT load capacity, is scheduled to be online in Q2 of FY-24 as part of the entire project. This will be East India’s first Rated-4 data center.

Suresh Kumar Rathod said “West Bengal has the third-largest internet subscriber base in the country, after Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, and this metropolitan city ranks third in India by GDP after Mumbai and Delhi.
