Director Subhas Longmarch’s film D combines color and black and white. The director and his team attended the press conference at the 29^th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF).

The story of the film is about a little boy named Gopal. He lives with his aunt in a village. Despite having a knack for learning, he does not go to school. He studies at home, plays with friends, and befriends his neighbor Kutub grandpa. An incident reveals why he does not attend school.

The character of Gopal is portrayed by young child actor Somrik who stays in Malancha. It was his first time acting in a film. The director praised the young actor for portraying the character of Gopal with finesse.

The producer of the film is Subhas Ghosh.

The film’s cast consists of Somrik Das, Toy Sen, Moumita Bar Saha, and Sripada Bar.

The film was shot in Sandeshkhali.

The duration of the film is 28.04 minutes.
