Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan – the world’s no.1 air-conditioning company launched a new range of split room ACs. It has been indigenously conceptualized and manufactured for Indian consumers. This new U Series range boasts future-ready technologies that empower the customers to manage the quality of air conditioning across their premises.

A press conference was organized to announce the launch of this new product line and also the future plans of the company. Gracing the press meet was Kuldeep Virmani, Director, and Senior Vice-President, Daikin India.

The future plans include:

  • To Launch Frontend & Backend including Super Market Refrigeration Products
  • Aggressive Customer Campaigns for Kolkata
  • Signs Land deal for 3rdFactory with an investment of INR 1000 Crore

Daikin India recently signed the land purchase deal at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, for manufacturing of ACs & components as part of the recently announced PLI scheme by the Government of India in the AC manufacturing space, entailing an investment of INR 1000 Crore during the first phase. This new facility will augment our capacity from the current 1.2 mn RA units to 2.5 mn units, classifying Daikin India as the largest Exporter of HVAC equipment from India.

Daikin chose Sri City in Southern India to set up its 3rd manufacturing base after facilities at Neemrana, Rajasthan.

With an array of future plans, Daikin India has interesting plans for Indian customers.
