INIFD Salt Lake organized its annual fashion and lifestyle exhibition Explodia 2021. Aspiring designers showcased their art form by taking inspiration from the culture, fashion, cuisines, and textile heritage of ten different countries of the world. They will be manifesting it through designing lifestyle merchandise.

The students were divided into ten different groups and will represent each country. They showcased the theme through room decor, avant-garde installation, and a collection of three garments made using sustainable materials and techniques.

The event was inaugurated by celebrity fashion designer Abhishek Dutta.

Model-actress Darshana Banik also graced the event. Speaking at the event, she said “Things are slowly going back to normal. It feels great to come here and see the works of the budding designers. I had come earlier in 2015 too. So it feels good to come here again and see the amazing works”.

The actress has loads of works coming up in different languages. Director Pijush Saha’s film Jaalbondi is the next release of the actress.

The actress said “I stay away from junk food for the past many years. I eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. Hence, my skin and hair are in good condition. As a result, I do not have to put on much makeup when I shoot for films and ad-shoots”.

Explodia 2021 was organized from 21^st to 23^rd December at INIFD Salt Lake.
