Debojyoti Mishra’s New Rendition Of Tomay Gaan Shonabo On Its 100th Anniversary
This year marks the 100th anniversary of “Tomay Gaan Shonabo” one of Rabindranath’s most well-known and recorded songs. Another rendition of this song was released to commemorate its centennial.
The song was released in the presence of Jonaki Mukhopadhyay, Debojyoti Mishra, and Anindya Chatterjee.
The music has been arranged by noted composer-instrumentalist Deboyoti Mishra, and sung by noted singer Jonaki Mukhopadhyay.
Jonaki Mukhopadhyay said, “The childhood recollections are depicted in the song’s music video. It is satisfying to release my music around the 100th anniversary of the well-known song”.
The song was written by Rabindranath Tagore on March 13, 1923. Dinendranath Tagore served as the notator of this song. Pilu raga is the basis for the song and it is based on the Dadra Taal. The Shantiniketan Patrika originally published this love song.
Debojyoti Mishra said at the song launch event “For me, this song is a love song. Not only is Bishu Pagal here for Nandini. This song is being sung by Bhanu for Ranu. This unique My Stamp will continue to play a crucial function throughout the centennial of such a song for all of the time”.
Anindya Chatterjee added, “We undoubtedly turn to Rabindranath’s melodies time and time again for comfort. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of a song this iconic is definitely a very unique occasion”.
The release of “My Stamp” was undertaken to further enhance the significance of this important occasion. “My Stamp” is a unique feature of the Indian Post. To mark the unique occasion of this song’s release, “My Stamp” was released.
