In the august presence of Dr Subhra Dhar (Organising Secretary), Dr Srabasti Roy (President, Calcutta Association of Practicing Pathologists CAPP) and Dr Jyoti Narayan, a press conference was organized to announce Dermatopathology Conference in Kolkata.

The main aim of the conference is to raise awareness in the field of dermapathology and will cover important topics relating to the field of dermatology and pathology.

The skin is the largest organ in the human body. Skin problems can showcase diseases which affects the human body. Dermapathology cases include skin problems like inflammatory, immunologic, infectious and neoplastic. A misdiagnosis of certain skin problems can be fatal. Hence correct diagnosis is very important.

Skin biopsy is one of the most regular tests done by a dermapathologist to decide the cause of the skin problems.

Speaking at the event, Dr Narayan said “It is very important to take care of our skin. Regular cleansing and moisturizing is of prime importance. If anyone has any skin problem, it is better to consult a doctor and treat it”.

About 200 doctors will be participating in the conference from various parts of the country.
