Desun Hospital organized a comprehensive workshop focusing on Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).

The workshop included instruction, Q&A sessions, and hands-on training. Doctors, medical workers, and community members eagerly participated in the event, all wanting to improve their life-saving abilities.

The workshop featured practical demonstrations and hands-on training sessions led by Dr. Amit Bhowmik, Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Desun Hospital, Kolkata. The objective of the workshop was to provide participants with essential and evidence-based techniques for handling adult and pediatric life-threatening situations both in and out of hospitals. These included responding to brain stroke, and cardiac emergencies, performing CPR, and responding to brain damage. Using a medical mannequin and other medical gadgets, Dr. Bhowmik and his team performed live demonstrations that demonstrated their skill and dedication while offering priceless insights into emergency medical procedures.

Desun Hospital also intends to add PALS (Paediatric Advance Life Support) and ATLS (Advance Trauma Life Support) to its repertoire. Accredited by the American Heart Association, US, the workshop’s certificates highlight the program’s compliance with global benchmarks for emergency medical education.
