After the stupendous success of Golondaaj, SVF, Dhrubo Banerjee and Dev join hands again for another film, Raghu Dakat.

Raghu Dakat is fantasy folklore that talks about a chapter in Bengal history where an icon rises to become a legend. This is the fictional story of 18th century “Bengal’s Robinhood”, a messiah who stood by the commoners against oppression and injustice. Despite being a fugitive, he fought to reinstate the law of the land.

Raghu Dakat is a cinematic experience crafted for the big screen and will show the history, culture, and heritage of Bengal of the 18th century. The story will show one of the darkest phases of Indian history that remains unexplored even today.

After stealing hearts as the Father of Indian Football- Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari, Dev will be molding himself as the legendary Raghu Dakat. This will be his second collaboration with director Dhrubo Banerjee.

Raghu Dakat is Dhrubo Banerjee’s third exploration in the quest of unearthing hidden treasures of Bengal’s culture, heritage & history.

This fantasy folklore as a story is written by Dhrubo Banerjee himself, targeting the audience across all age groups and social strata.

Raghu Dakat will generate nostalgia for the elders and an adrenaline rush for the younger generation. The film will go on floors mid next year.
