Digital Launch of Shaan’s Bengali Track China; Syncs With The Present Make In India Sentiment
The lockdown may make you feel depressed at times. But many artists have taken this time to give vent to their creativity. Eminent singer Shaan has come up with the first-ever Bengali track “China”. The digital launch was organized in the presence of singer Shaan, actors Neel Bhattacharya, Trina Saha and lyricist Rajib Chakraborty.
The word “China” means “I do not want” in Bengali. Keeping in mind the present scenario in India when boycotting of China products has become so rampant, the track takes a fun on “China”. It keeps up with the sentiment of Make in India and Aatma Nirbhar.
The song has been composed and sung by Shaan himself and the lyrics have been penned down by lyricist Rajib Chakraborty.
The video shows a millennial couple during ‘lockdown’. The couple’s role has been enacted by Neel and Trina in the video. The boy is shown to be obsessed with the girl and the girl seems to be more obsessed with social media. Eventually, he realizes that he stands second in her list of priorities.
Shaan praised Neel who despite being Covid-positive took the initiative to shoot the video from his house. He also highlighted the fact that the video has been shot keeping all the safety precautions in mind.
Trina was first surprised and shocked at the chance to feature in a music video of Shaan. “I must thank my best friend who helped me a lot with the costume, camera angles. I am not a pro at managing camera angles and light like Neel. So it was a bit difficult for me. However, the team at Supari Studios helped a lot” said the actress.
Neel also praised the team at Supari Studios. “They knew that I had tested Covid positive just before we began the shoot. They were very co-operative. Since I had to quarantine myself in a room, I used the room to the best of my abilities to shoot the video. I hope everybody likes it” said Neel.
The music video is conceptualized and produced by Supari Studios of Mumbai.
A great initiative indeed!!
