Recognized for his profound wisdom and worldwide teachings, Swami Vivekananda is a famous spiritual leader who has always been a source of inspiration for people of all ages, genders, and cultures. His ageless thought is still very applicable in the modern world. Renowned director Abhijit Dasgupta launched Vivek, a documentary feature film, presented by Shri Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman of Ambuja Neotia, to acknowledge the need to share his profound ideas with the next generation.

Tarun Goswami, journalist, Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman of Ambuja Neotia Group, and Abhijit Dasgupta, Director of the documentary feature film Vivek graced the launch of Vivek.

The most recent documentary feature film, Vivek, is based on the audio-visual series Naren, which was his prior endeavor. This revolutionary feature will be revealed on the 161st anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s birth, which also happens to be India’s National Youth Day. This feature will help today’s youngsters grasp Swami Vivekananda’s teachings more thoroughly by bridging the gap between historical iconography and in-depth cognition.

Abhijit Dasgupta introduced this film, admitting the existence of a strong personal and emotional attachment to Swamiji’s beliefs. In his opinion, “Vivek” will not only introduce young people to the profound wisdom of Swami Vivekananda in an entertaining and illuminating way, but it will also instill in them the habit of not taking anything at face value. Today’s children need to develop a rational, questioning, and inquisitive mentality.

The movie masterfully depicts tales from his childhood and ancestral home and chronicles his trip to Chicago, where he went to spread awareness of Sri Sri Ramakrishna’s faiths and religions to Americans. Swami Vivekananda is regarded as the best educator because of his travels, his many monikers at different points in time, and his experiences in Almora, Porbandar, Mount Abu, and Cape Comorin. One of the most important lessons to take away from this movie is that Vivekananda remains relevant across time.

“We have given life to a fictional science professor and his students through an interactive Q&A format, offering an engaging platform to impart Swami-ji’s timeless values. The docu-feature film’s engaging narrative structure is exceptional and incredibly motivating” said the director.

Harshavardhan Neotia said that with Vivek, one will be able to communicate Vivekananda’s teachings and connect with the youth seamlessly.

The film will release on 12th January on the 161st  birthday of Swami Vivekananda.
