Dona Ganguly’s Mindblowing Dance Performance At Event For Pronam

A cultural event was conducted at the Kala Mandir, supported by Shree Cement’s CSR program and organized by The Bengal. Dr. Ananda Gupta and his organization Dakshinayan UK, along with dancer Dona Ganguly and her dance group Diksha Manjari, gave the audience a cultural evening in honor of the Pronam members. Pronam is a Bengali initiative with the Kolkata Police. For the welfare of senior adults, they carry out a variety of social work.

Sundeep Bhutoria, Secretary-General of The Bengal, said that it was heartwarming to witness the journey from 200 members to 20,000 to date. They also completed a decade of its journey.

At the event, tributes were paid to Rabindranath Tagore and Rishi Aurobindo. The program was titled ‘Lamp of God’. This ensemble event consisting of dance-song compositions was divided into three parts.

Rabindranath’s Swadesh Chetna, Rishi Aurobindo’s collective presentation, and lastly Baishe Shravan’s commemoration-“Mrityu Aaghat Laage Prane” were performed.

‘Tomay Gan Shonabo’, and ‘Amar Praner Pore Chole Gelo Ke’ sung by Ananda Gupta and accompanied by Dona Ganguly’s dance rendition enthralled the audience.

Sree Basu, Suvaeep Chakraborty, and Piyali Pathak were in the commentary reading and recitation.

Film director Goutam Ghosh, Arindam Sil, Nayantara Palchowdhuri, Dr. Md. Mansoor Alam, Priti Patel, Esha Dutta, and others were present as guests on the occasion.
