Fairs or melas are an intrinsic part of the life of people in Bengal. With the dip in the weather, melas are organized in different parts of Bengal. Food stalls, cultural events, home décor stalls, jewelry stalls, and many more can be found in such fairs.

Dumdum Utsav 2023 is one such fair that was inaugurated recently at Lichubagan Ground, Gorabazar.

The inauguration event was graced by eminent dignitaries like Bratya Basu, Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education, Saugata Roy, Member of Parliament of Dumdum Constituency, Harendra Singh, Chairman, Dumdum Municipality, Barun Natta, Vice-Chairman, Dumdum Municipality, and others.

The inauguration was completed by lighting the auspicious lamp by the guests.

A flower exhibition was inaugurated at the Dumdum Utsav 2023.

Cultural programs will be organized daily at the Dumdum Utsav where artists like Sadhana Sargam, Aneek Dhar, Pranjan Biswas, Kavita Krishnamurthy, and Salman Ali will be performing.

Dumdum Utsav 2023 will continue till 9^th January.
