The Sahay Foundation is a social service organization dedicated to raising the standard of living for India’s impoverished inhabitants. The Foundation, which is equally committed to entertainment and culture, has continuously taken steps to support and develop up-and-coming talent for the coming generation.

In keeping with this, the historic Pathuriaghata Rajbari recently served as the location for the shoot of the unique music video for the upcoming Sharodotsav, “Bolo Dugga Mai Ki”.

The glamorous cast of the music video includes Padma Shri awardee Sabitri Chatterjee, Debleena Kumar, Gaurav Chatterjee, Sushmita Chatterjee, John Bhattacharya, Rupsa Mukherjee, Pradip Bhattacharya, and many others.

John Bhattacharya said that there is no diet that he follows during the Pujas. He mentioned that it is hard to find a Bengali who goes on a diet during the Pujas.

Sushmita Chatterjee said, “Earlier I used to stand in line and watch one Durga Ma. Now, thanks to my work, I go pandal hopping and I don’t have to stand in line. I love pandal hopping”.

Sabitri Chatterjee looked radiant in a red sari. The veteran actress revealed that despite having dusky skin color, she loves to wear red saris.

The song is directed and composed by Debanjan.

With lyrics by Somraj Das, the soulful vocals have been rendered by Sreshta Das. She had earlier sung “Dakatiya Bashi” from the film Bahurupi.

This innovative project, which is the first of many similar cultural initiatives, is a joint creation of the Sahay Foundation and Jhalak Infotainment, an up-and-coming news and entertainment app.
