At its Dum Dum campus, the prestigious Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex (SURTECH), a part of the JIS Group, successfully held its first sizable Industry-Academia Meet, “E-Mobility Synergy 2025”. To support research, innovation, and skill development in the field of electric vehicles (EVs) and emerging technologies, the JIS-Research and Advancement Centre for Electric-Mobility (JIS-RACE) organised the event.

More than thirty distinguished guests, including prominent scientists, policymakers, and business executives from all over the nation, attended the event.

The renowned attendees were Dr. Suresh Babu, Scientist E, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India; Dr. Arghya Sardar, Scientist F & Head, TFAR, TIFAC; as well as senior representatives from the U.S.-India Business Council, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM), and many more.

An essential forum for cooperative discussion on the future of electric mobility in India was “E-Mobility Synergy 2025.” Innovation-driven tactics, policy enablers, industry-academia partnership models, and the anticipated function of JIS-RACE as a catalyst in EV research, product development, and talent grooming were the main topics of discussion. The occasion also emphasised SURTECH’s goal of becoming a leader in technological education in line with national objectives like Green Mobility and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
