York University, the third-largest university in Canada and one of the top 40 universities in the world for its influence on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, collaborates with partners all around the world. It provides top-notch programs and innovation in top-tier interdisciplinary research, such as the $318 million Connected Minds Initiative, which will help businesses launch fair innovations faster and educate the next generation of students.
As it’s crucial for Canadian students to comprehend India, its growth story, and the impact of India on the world, York University is proud to invest in several important initiatives that will deepen their ties with India and create opportunities for the gifted students and researchers that will benefit both parties. One such initiative is an India Immersion Programme with O.P. Jindal Global University.
The launch of a new global research seed fund, which will invest in international research collaborations with top universities, industries, governmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations in priority countries like India, as well as a Pan-India entrepreneurship boot camp will also take place. These initiatives will expose gifted students to the largest business and consumer market in the world. The teaching, research, and knowledge mobilization in areas that will address fairness and inclusion are priorities for York, like many famous Indian businesses and institutions.

It is also the lead academic partner in a transformative new Global Water Academy that aims to tackle the water sustainability crisis in partnership with UNITAR.
O.P. Jindal Global University and Canada’s York University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration and supporting student mobility between the two countries.
The two universities want to concentrate on faculty and student exchange programs, short-term study abroad programs, dual-degree programs, and cooperative research initiatives as part of the partnership.
This partnership would promote the long-term educational links between India and Canada as well as the association between the universities as the top private university in India.
