The trailer launch of the upcoming Bengali film”Ei Ami Renu” took place in the presence of director Saumen Sur, Sohini Sarkar, and Alivia Sarkar.

The film is based on a novel by Samaresh Mazumder. The film is a period film and is set in the 1980’s.

Soham will be seen pairing up with Sohini Sarkar for the first time in this film.

Gaurav Chakrabarty, Kaushik Ganguly, Anindya Chatterjee and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

Alivia Sarkar said “After seeing the trailer, I thought about the times when we shot the film. I play Jhumar, Renu’s friend. This love story deserves to be watched on the big screen. I will request the audience to come and watch the film on the big screen”.

Sohini Sarkar plays Renu in the film. “I think that the film will appeal to the people, especially to those who have grown in the 1980s and 1990s. This will be refreshing and will make the people nostalgic. It will show a different kind of love that was not dominated by mobile phones but with letters” said the actress.

Rana Mazumdar (Mumbai) has composed the music for this film.

Produced by Aangsh Movies, the film is presented by Selim & Swarno.

The film is eyeing for release on 9th April.
