EIMPCC organized a rally at Tollygunge from Kishore Kumar Statue to Dassani Studio recently. Present at the rally were George Baker, Debika Mukherjee, Pulokita, Rahul Burman, Mahi, Dev Sen(Music) Dhiman Sankar (Choreographer), Baban Ghosh(Chairman), Sanghamitra Chaudhuri(Vice Chairperson / Director), Agnimitra Paul (Fashion designer /President) and Sadhan Talukdar (Working President).
Baban Ghosh said that he will stop the autocracy of Biswas brothers.
How can the technicians be deprived of their minimum wages for months’ altogether?
Sanghamitra stressed on the current situations of Bengali films. Here cut money is charged to issue a card. It sometimes rises to lakhs of rupees. Most technicians are without a guild card today. So they will issue cards to right technicians free of cost. They will also get investors for mini-plexes in all districts.
Agnimitra Paul said there should be uniformity in providing work. Artists and technicians who are close to the ruling party are only employed. Their payments are held up for months and they need to stop this.
Well it needs to be seen what changes happen after this rally.
