Eastern India Motion Picture Directors’ Association popularly organized a press meet to make the people aware of a report published in a leading newspaper.

It was graced by Swapan Saha, Sujit Guha, Anup Sengupta, Ashok Viswanathan, Raaj Mukherjee, and others.

Bimal Dey who was the General Editor of the organization said in an interview with a leading newspaper that FCTWEI or the Federation has been unjustly using their powers. They have used this power and appointed someone else as the General Editor of EIMPDA. However, the Federation has never been part of such things.

Bimal Dey started a court case for his unjust removal and requested the court to stop the election of the new body. However, the court did not listen to his request. The claim that Bimal Dey has been making is not proved yet in a court of law. Then how can he state such false claims to the media? This was stated by the eminent speakers at the press meet.

The speakers also stated how Bimal Dey had taken money from the federation for organizing events and had not submitted any reports on the expenses.

The eminent personalities at the press meet stated how he had been misleading the media and presenting his side of the story. With this press meet, they wanted the people to know both sides of the story and then decide for themselves.
