Ethnic Boutique Celebrates First Anniversary With 80 Underprivileged Children
To commemorate the first anniversary of their store, Ethnic Boutique, Kolkata’s most popular saree destination, hosted a group of 80 underprivileged kids from the Gadens Børn NGO Street Children DK for a movie screening of “The Eken: Ruddhaswas Rajasthan” at Cinepolis Lake Mall.
The opportunity for the kids, who were accompanied by the NGO teachers, to experience something they had never done before—watch a movie in a theater—made them ecstatic. The charming detective and his vacationing experience in Rajasthan are the subjects of “The Eken: Ruddhaswas Rajasthan”. The kids were fascinated and entertained the entire time.
To everyone’s surprise, the main character of the movie, Anirban Chakrabarti, aka Eken Babu, stood in front of them as the end credits rolled, sending the kids into a frenzy of joy.
The Eken series has once again lifted the bar for exceptional storytelling and cinematic brilliance in the eyes of the viewer. The Eken – Ruddhaswas Rajasthan received a lot of positive feedback from viewers of all ages, from young children to the elderly, who came in huge numbers to the theatre to see the movie and helped it become a financial success. The film has now been in theatres for thirty days, and it was released on Friday, May 12, in the USA.
The Gadens Børn NGO expressed their gratitude towards Ms. Gargi Sonkar for organizing this outing for the children.
Ethnic Boutique believes that giving back to society is a powerful act. They hope that by hosting this event, other people will be motivated to support similar organizations and improve the lives of those who are less fortunate.
