They established the standard for sustainability as LEED Platinum-certified hotels, while ITC Sonar has achieved LEED Zero Water accreditation. In honor of World Environment Day 2024, ITC Sonar and ITC Royal Bengal have launched a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) charging station on their property, further demonstrating their dedication to sustainable practices. This is a big step in the direction of encouraging environmentally friendly behavior and helping the expanding electric vehicle community.

To accommodate varying charging requirements, the recently constructed EV charging station is furnished with both AC and DC chargers. The station can charge three four-wheeler vehicles at once. To give guests flexibility in terms of time and demands, it has two AC chargers for a slower charge and one DC charger for a quick charge.

For EV owners, having an EV charging station in a hotel setting is incredibly convenient. There’s no need to make additional trips to public charging stations. Guests can take advantage of the opulent amenities of ITC Sonar and ITC Royal Bengal while their cars are recharging. Although the majority of electric vehicle (EV) owners charge their cars mostly at home, public charging stations are essential for increasing driving range and preserving battery life when traveling. This feature makes travel arrangements easier and eliminates worries about where to find charging stations while driving.
