Excellent Anti-Addiction Campaign At BDM International School
Bobby Chakraborty is a renowned senior actor, activist, and acting coach from Kolkata, India. For more than ten years, he has been transforming the lives of young people through his internationally recognized, award-winning, and free preventive awareness program for youth called I am the King of my Mind, which fights harmful social trends and various forms of addiction.
He led his 420th session at BDM International School, also his 20th session there. Unlike many others, the school administration and the socially conscious Principal Smt. Madhumita Sengupta supports addressing the pressing issues of smoking, alcoholism, smartphone addiction, online gambling, abusive language use, and indecent behavior online to draw attention to young people’s mental health before it’s too late. Over 500 eager students in grades IX and X attended Bobby’s inspiring and powerful session, which was expertly organized by senior teachers Pritha Mukherjee Madam, Jaya Madam, and Aratrika Madam with the help of the principal.
Class IX student Soldier Rajoudi Jana served as the official photographer for the motivational event. He was aided by soldier Indradeep Chowdhury, who was also given the highly sought-after title of The 1st Soldier. The moniker “The Trendsetter” was bestowed upon soldier Shreyas Khastagir.
Soldiers Mitil, Soumili, and Shrayan emerged victorious in the surprise competition, and they, along with Rajoudi, the D. O. P., received special prizes, personalized HCF (Health-Career-Family) t-shirts, and Community Service Certificates from their cherished Bobby Dada, courtesy of the Principal, Madhumita Madam.
The engaging interactive session ended with all of the students and teachers yelling, “I AM THE KING OF MY MIND,” at the top of their lungs and raising their hands in the air, vowing to never give in to the evil forces of society. Bobby led them in this declaration.
