Acropolis Mall‘s ninth anniversary was celebrated with a modest but happy gathering right before Durga Puja, the largest festival for Bengalis.

During the function, children from Pathchala received new garments from Shri Sushil Mohta, Chairman of Merlin Group and developer of Acropolis Mall. Rukmini Paul, President of Pathchala, and Subhadip Basu, General Manager of Acropolis Mall, also attended. A non-profit group called Pathchala helps the less fortunate kids in the Kalighat region. The young kids’ faces lit up when they received the new clothes in time for Durga Puja.

Along with a special performance by the Pathchala youngsters, the celebration included a lively classical dance performance by Trisha Das Mandal and her company. In honor of Acropolis Mall’s birthday, a lavish cake-cutting ceremony marked the end of the festivities.

Odissi dancer and choreographer Trisha Das Mandal and her team wowed the audience with a sequence that featured a vibrant folk medley, a semi-classical dance called Ganesh Vandana, and Agamani songs that heralded the advent of Goddess Durga.

A cake was cut on the occasion to celebrate this amazing feat.

Since opening in 2015, Acropolis Mall has made a substantial economic contribution to the area and grown to be a well-known landmark for both locals and tourists in Kolkata. The apartment blocks and branded retail businesses that the mall has brought to the neighborhood have completely changed its character. It’s developed into a well-liked hangout where people come together with friends and family of all ages. One of the most popular places for family fun these days is the mall.
