Classical music events are not uncommon in Kolkata. Eminent classical musicians often perform in the city. However, how are the newcomers faring? They are the future of Indian classical music. Understanding this need to give the young classical musicians a platform, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kolkata, and Sanskriti Sagar have come up with a youth classical music festival titled Udaan.

This youth classical music festival is indeed great news for young classical musicians. They have a platform to showcase their talents and be recognized in the cultural capital of India.

Some of the young classical musicians who will unveil their talent are Mehtab Ali Niazi (sitar), Debjit Patitundi (tabla), Akash Jalmi (Harmonium), Amaan Hussain (Sarangi), Ishaan Ghosh (tabla), Indrayuddh Majumder (sarod) and many others.

The event will happen on 25^th May at GD Birla Sabhagar from 5.30 pm.
