The largest award ceremony for the JIS Group, JIS SAMMAN 2023, was held in the Science City Auditorium.

JIS SAMMAN 2023 made an effort to recognize exceptional talent across the different institutes that make up the JIS Group in the fields of academics, culture, and sports. JIS SAMMAN has developed into an annual tradition to recognize and honor extraordinary individuals who have made noteworthy contributions in their respective fields. The esteemed JIS Maha SAMMAN awards, given to persons who excelled in their areas and left a lasting impression on society, were the highlight of this year’s JIS SAMMAN.

The recipients this year were Usha Uthup, an Indian singer, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, an author, and retired Indian footballer Shyam Thapa.

Speaking at the event, Shyam Thapa said “I am honored that I was bestowed with such an award. it shows that I have done something for Indian football that is worth mentioning. I hope that youngsters of today can continue their love for the game”.

Distinguished guests, celebrities, academicians, well-known figures from the arts and sports, and members of the JIS Group graced the event.

The event kicked up with the prize presentation and was followed by a spectacular performance by Mika Singh, a well-known and upbeat Bollywood vocalist.

This event motivates others to pursue excellence in addition to honoring the outstanding achievements of well-known people. The JIS Group is still committed to developing talent and supporting a winning culture.
