Mahesh Bhatt, one of India’s most renowned filmmakers, is pleased that people are comparing Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara to his popular romantic film Aashiqui in terms of nostalgia!

Because Mahesh Bhatt’s Aashiqui told a novel, profound, and avant-garde love story, it became a national sensation and instantly made Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal superstars. Even Aashiqui’s music was a huge hit! Likewise, Saiyaara serves as the springboard for Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda to become the next YRF heroine and hero. The Saiyaara title track is a huge hit, and the band’s songs are also chart-topping!

With Saiyaara, Mahesh Bhatt believes Mohit Suri, who was influenced by him as a director, has fully emerged on his own.

The seasoned director claims that he was always encouraging Mohit to work with up-and-coming filmmakers and that he is happy that Mohit collaborated with YRF on Saiyaara. “With two incredibly talented actors who are just dazzling on screen, I’m thrilled to see them leap with Saiyaara. I’m also thrilled that he has a studio with such a rich cinematic history, like YRF, supporting and assisting him on this project,” added Mahesh.

He continued, “Saiyaara is looking new, like a breath of fresh air that only newcomers can have. I can feel Saiyaara’s energy, and I’m hoping this movie will be a huge hit. I am so excited for the nation to witness it on July 18^th”.
