With theatres opening up, SVF Entertainment announced its upcoming releases of 2022. The releases range from thrillers to romances and have everything for different audiences.

The Eken: ‘The Eken’ is a mystery thriller where the facts will baffle Ekenbabu and challenge his intelligence and observation skills. Anirban Chakrabarti will reprise the role of Ekenbabu while Debasish Mondal and Suhotra Mukhopadhyay and Paayel Sarkar will be seen in pivotal roles. ‘The Eken’ will release on 14^th April.

X=Prem: Srijit Mukherji’s ‘X=Prem’ is a unique romantic journey of four different individuals connected with one string. Scheduled to release on 13^th May, the film’s cast consists of Arjun Chakrabarty, Anindya Sengupta, Madhurima Basak, and Shruti Das.

Kuler Achaar: ‘Kuler Achaar’ is a family drama that will tell a story of a middle-class family where the daughter-in-law does not want to change her surname after marriage. Madhumita Sarcar, Vikram Chatterjee, Indrani Haldar, and Neel Mukherjee will be seen in pivotal roles. ‘Kuler Achaar’ will hit the theatres on 3^rd June.

Khela Jawkhon: Arindam Sil’s psychological thriller ‘Khela Jawkhon’ stars Mimi Chakraborty, Arjun Chakrabarty and Susmita Chatterjee in important roles. It tells the story of Urmi and Sagnik who lost their only child in a horrific car accident. Urmi is haunted by the memory of her dead child and strange visions of violence keeps troubling her sleep. What is the reality? ‘Khela Jawkhon’ will release on 1^st July.

Byomkesh: Arindam Sil’s fourth Byomkesh film is based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s incomplete story ‘Bishupal Bodh’. Byomkesh Bakshi will be portrayed by Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar will play the character of Satyabati while Suhotra Mukhopadhyay will be seen as Ajit. The film is slated to release on 11^th August.

Karna Subarna’er Guptodhon: Dhrubo Banerjee will bring back the trio of Sona da, Jhinuk & Abir in the third film of Guptodhon franchise, ‘Karna Subarna’erGuptodhon’. The film will release on 30^th September.

Ballabhpurer Roopkotha: Actor Anirban Bhattacharya makes his feature film directorial debut with ‘Ballabhpurer Roopkotha’. The film is set to release on 21^st October. It is a quirky horror-comedy that revolves around the unconventional story of a night’s actions which will turn Ballavpur Rajbari into a temple of chaos with a few living beings and a 400-year-old ghost.

Hatyapuri: Directed by Sandip Ray, Satyajit Ray’s ‘Hatyapuri’ is a murder thriller where Feluda, Topshe and Jatayu’s vacation is upturned when they discover an unidentified dead body on the beach. Feluda begins his search for the murderer. The film will hit the theatres on 23^rd December.

With the release of these eight films, SVF is all ready to start a roaring journey at the theatres in 2022.
