Exclusive Screening Of Enola Holmes At The British Council Kolkata
The British Council is inviting all moviegoers to take a fascinating trip through Victorian London with the film “Enola Holmes” as part of their enthralling Culture Fridays project. The British Council is scheduled to host the special screening on March 1, 2024.
Enola Holmes, which is based on Nancy Springer’s Young Adult novel series, chronicles the exploits of Sherlock’s younger sister as she makes waves, solves mysteries, and forges her own identity in opulent Victorian England. Enola breaks social conventions and expectations as she makes her way through a maze of clues, proving that bravery and brilliance are not gender-specific. With thrilling action, sharp comedy, and a hint of sibling rivalry, “Enola Holmes” is an enjoyable and uplifting journey fit for viewers of all ages. Helena Bonham Carter CBE plays the mother, Superman alum Henry Cavill plays the handsome Sherlock Holmes, and Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown plays Enola Holmes.
Everyone who is at least 18 years old is welcome to attend the free screening. To enhance the cinematic adventure, the British Council has partnered with Caara café to provide the audience with delicious snacks and drinks. Initial seating is assigned based on the order in which people arrive.
