F5IFF 2024 To Screen 12 Great Films At The National Library Of India
Fest5, in collaboration with the National Library of India and in association with the West Bengal Pollution Control Board, kickstarted the first-ever F5 International Film Festival.
The film festival will take place at the National Library of India auditorium.
It was inaugurated by Moonmoon Sen, Tnusree Chakraborty, Rathin Kanji, Dr. Kalyan Rudra (Chairman, West Bengal Pollution Control Board ), Sourav De, Founder-director of F5IFF24.
This historic occasion is the first film festival in the 188-year existence of the National Library, a building that is admired by readers everywhere. The overwhelming response to F5IFF’24 includes over 150 films from 139 different nations. Twelve films have been carefully chosen by the festival to be screened there.
F5IFF’24 is slated to be a dynamic celebration of new-age film, with a special emphasis on mitigating climate change, preserving cultural legacy, and reducing environmental damage. Many people, including book lovers, filmmakers, artists, heritage enthusiasts, and climate campaigners, come together for this one-of-a-kind event. F5IFF’24 intends to examine important worldwide concerns like environmental degradation, climate change, the deterioration of human values, the loss of artistic sensibility, and the fall in reading habits collectively through a diverse array of films.
The films can be defined under the following categories: Heritage Conservation, Environmental Focus, and Cultural Enrichment.
It will be on till 4 August, 2024.

With this film festival, the organizers want to bring about change and generate a deep understanding of the various issues that the world is facing today.
