In Kolkata, the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) kicked off the second Vyapar Bengal Conclave. Vyapar Bengal is back with more vigor and vision after the success of its first edition. The edition’s theme, Egiye Bangla: Bengal Surges Ahead, focused on the state’s advancements in inclusive growth, sustainability, and innovation.

The event highlighted West Bengal’s commitment to technology, infrastructure, and green mobility by bringing together more than 400 industry leaders to discuss significant developments in automotive retail.

The inaugural session was led by Shri Shrawan Kumar, Chief Commissioner at the Customs & GST Department, Ministry of Finance, Govt of India, and Shri Snehasis Chakraborty, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Transport, Govt of West Bengal.

The session also featured senior leadership from FADA, including Mr. Rohit Chowdhury, Chairperson, FADA West Bengal; Mr. C S Vigneshwar, President, FADA; Mr. Pradeep Agarwal, Treasurer, FADA and Chairperson, FADA Two-Wheeler Vertical; and Mr. Saharsh Damani, CEO, FADA.

Five extremely interesting sessions that focused on significant advancements in the automotive retail industry were presented by renowned industry experts at Vyapar Bengal 2025. Discussions that provided useful information for industry stakeholders included the Future of Auto Retail, Regulatory Updates on CMV Rules, SME IPO Opportunities, Financial Strategies for Two-Wheeler Dealerships, and the GST Amnesty Scheme.

Following the National Anthem and Lamp Lighting Ceremony, Mr. Rohit Chowdhury, Chairperson of FADA West Bengal, gave a welcome address and highlighted Vyapar Bengal’s influence on the development of the auto retail industry in the area. A representative from Rosmerta Technologies talked about digital innovations after FADA President Mr. C S Vigneshwar gave an overview of industry developments. Chief Guest Mr. Snehasis Chakraborty, Hon. Cabinet Minister for Transport, Government of West Bengal, and Special Guest Shri Shrawan Kumar, Chief Commissioner at the Customs & GST Department, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, emphasized government policies promoting the expansion of auto retail.

Distinguished visitors, important partners, and contributors who have contributed significantly to the success of Vyapar Bengal 2025 were felicitated as the event came to a close. This section honored business partners, government officials, and industry leaders for their contributions to the expansion and advancement of West Bengal’s automotive industry. The event acted as a thank-you gift and a call to action for further cooperation in promoting industry excellence.
