P. C. Chandra Group in their fifth year of the “Gyandhara” initiative aims at helping colleges to set up Knowledge Centres in their premises.

The auspicious occasion was held at the Maple Banquets of P C Chandra Gardens and attended by renowned film director and vocalist, Anindya Chatterjee along with Shri. Prosanto Chandra, Joint Managing Director, P C Chandra Jewellers.

A sum of Rupees 2lacs each was given away to 10 reputed colleges of West Bengal from Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Uttar Dinajpur, Malda, Murshidabad,  Purulia,  Purba Burdwan towards establishing The PC Chandra Knowledge Centre in their premises. The amount will be used for infrastructural development in these institutions in the form of either upgrading, renovating or building a library/science laboratory or buying new books/new laboratory equipment etc.  The aim of the PC Chandra Knowledge Centre is to ensure that students get proper amenities for better education and bright future for this country. Initiated in 2015, till date, 54 colleges have been included in the Gyandhara Prokolpo, covering all the districts of West Bengal.
