The Department of Media Science of Techno Main Salt Lake, in association with the Press Club, Kolkata, organized the third edition of their annual media seminar, Media Central 3.0. This event coincided with the global observance of World Press Freedom Day.

The eminent dignitaries who graced the event were Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-chirperson of Techno India Group, Barun Chanda, actor, author and ad-guru, Rita Bhimani, author and PR guru, Jimmy Tangree, Head of 91.9 Friends FM, Indrajit Kundu, Bureau Chief, India Today, Pooja Mehta, Bureau Chief and Kishalay Mukherjee from Republic Bangla.

The Department of Media Science Co-chairperson inaugurated a unique exhibition that showed the history and evolution of the Indian and global print media.

Media Central 3.0 was more than an academic event. It focused on the responsibilities of the press in this digital age. Through this initiative, the institution wanted to empower students to become storytellers who will be upholding the democratic values.
